So sorry it's been so long. Too long. I'll update you on my projects and so on. I also have another blog that I'm thinking of switching to since it is slightly easier to manage. You can see the links on the left. I've been busy... ahh yes... You've heard that before. I have been taking classes and traveling and working hard. Finally things are calming down. I just got a laptop so now I have no excuses, right?! Here's what I've been working on:

This is a new felted bag for my mother in law. It's going to be way smaller afterwards!
Green Sweaters side-by-side. I made the one on the left by my own design. The one on the right was in the Urban Outfitter's catalogue. I will try to create a pattern if anyone is interested. If you are interested, you can email me or leave a comment.

Here's my sweater and the Knit Simple sweater side-by-side. I used the pattern to make it. It was very easy and a relatively quick knit. I made mine a little longer.

This is the sweater I copied. Does it look the same?
Well, I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow, but not until after I completely clean my apartment, my dad comes to visit for the night (from 10 hours away), we have a birthday celebration for my dad, Aaron works for 4 hours, I workout and do some pilates, and I finish packing...
Anyway, I'll be gone for 10 full days--5 for work and 5 for fun! So I'll be working until Thursday, then playing until the next Monday... then it's back to business and usual--and lots of it, so no time to "get back in the swing of things." That should be fun. In the meantime, I'm going to make the most of what I have! And, Lord knows, need!
Viva Las Vegas!
Finally, I have some projects to share!
First, the greatest feat of all: the ONE YEAR SWEATER! It wasn't advertised as a one-year sweater... it was an old pattern from the 60s. It was knit in 5 peices--front, back, band, and 2 straps. I started it spring of last year and finished it about 3 weeks ago. I sewed it together--and that took me awhile by itself, since I am not exactly a seamstress.
Not that you'd believe me, because here's a pair of pants I designed and sewed myself:

And finally, I finished the crochet skirt!

Now, I still have to show you the vest I finished, but here's the manufacturer's photo:

Crochet
Pattern: Maple by Berocco
Yarn: Sensations Boucle in pink/black
Picture to come soon!
I'm working on this sweater in the current (Spring/Summer 2006) issue of Knit Simple magazine. I'm doing mine in yellow Sugar and Cream Cotton. Not sure of the exact name of the color, but it is yellow. I'm almost done with one of the two sides and so far haven't finished even one 4-ounce ball of yarn!
